A Summer Camp Program for Teens and Young Adults with Disabilities (Ages 16-23) at Camp Canonicus in Exeter, RI
August 7-11, 2023
This
is a one-week residential program that provides teens and young adults
with disabilities ages 16-23, an opportunity to develop employment and
independent living skills in a supportive environment.
Well-defined
instruction, in small groups and individually, will provide training in
the areas of employment and job skills, social skills, including
maintaining positive mental health, and independent living skills. There
will be recreational opportunities as well!
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for this program applicants must:
•have a disability
•be between 16 and 23 years old
•be self-directing and able to make their own choices
•be a Rhode Island resident
