Monthly Smart Device Training at the Warwick Public Library (RI)
The ATEL Program is offering monthly smart device training at the Warwick Library open to any individual that needs some one-on-one in person tech support. It is also an opportunity for individuals with hearing loss to learn about in person and telephone Apps for captioning conversation.
About ATEL
The Rhode Island Adaptive Telephone Equipment Loan (ATEL) Program provides landline/home telephones and wireless devices on
loan to qualified individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, have a
speech disability, or have neuromuscular damage or disease that hinders
them from using a standard telephone. You must be a RI Resident, have
one of the above-mentioned disabilities, and meet one of the income
qualifier criteria described on the application.

Talking Books Institutional Accounts (RI)
An institutional account from the Talking Books Library allows your library to receive free demo equipment and materials to share with your visually impaired, blind, physically impaired, dyslexic or print disabled patrons who can receive free audio and braille books, magazines, descriptive DVDs and music materials after completing and individual application.
Your patrons can also take advantage of BARD, the Braille and Audio Reading Download program which avoids mailing and downloads titles in minutes.
This free program provided by the National Library Services, is open to all eligible RI patrons and librarians can certify individual applications.
